Spiral rollers for belt conveyors are rollers used to reduce product deposit on belts by acting on the surface of the dirty side of the belt. They are particularly effective on belts carrying adhesive materials. They pass above and below the lowest section of the conveyor belt to support it when the conveyed product is highly viscous and cannot be conveyed. They can also retain sticky materials that would otherwise accumulate on the underside of the belt. The helical shape of the anti-abrasive rings (made of solid, thin polyurethane) of the spiral roller for belt conveyors, mounted on the tube, enables a cleaning operation and reduces the tendency of products to settle and stick to the surface of the dirty side of the belt.

How does an cleaning roller work ?

The design of spiral rollers for belt conveyors is such that they feature spiral or helical blades. When the belt is conveying products, it can sometimes tend to deviate from the width of its initial path, due in part to its speed. Thanks to its spirals, the roller gently returns the belt to its initial position. This mechanism guarantees longer belt life and prevents potential risks associated with slipping.
